School Council

Our School Council is a group of pupils elected by their classmates to represent their views and help shape the future of our school. These pupils act as the voice of their peers, sharing ideas and suggestions to improve school life for everyone.

Their responsibilities include:

  • Listening and Representing: Gathering the thoughts and opinions of their classmates and sharing them in council meetings.
  • Making a Difference: Working with staff to bring about positive changes in the school environment and community.
  • Encouraging Participation: Helping all pupils feel involved in decision-making and school improvement.
  • Promoting Rights: Supporting Article 12 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), which states that children have the right to express their views in all matters affecting them.

Being part of the School Council helps pupils develop confidence, communication skills, and a sense of responsibility.
