Eco Schools

Eco Council

The Eco Council is a group of pupils elected by their classmates to lead the school in becoming more environmentally friendly and sustainable. These students are passionate about protecting the planet and work together to make a positive impact on their school and local community.

Their responsibilities include:

  • Raising Environmental Awareness: Encouraging others to care for the environment through campaigns, assemblies, and class discussions.
  • Promoting Sustainable Practices: Supporting initiatives such as recycling, energy saving, and reducing waste across the school.
  • Taking Action: Organising eco-friendly projects like litter picks, gardening, and biodiversity activities.
  • Working as a Team: Collaborating with staff, pupils, and the wider community to make the school a greener place.

Being part of the Eco Council helps pupils develop leadership, teamwork, and a strong sense of responsibility for the world around them.
