WOOF WOOF HELLO HOOMANS!!! 🐾😄 This week in Ballyhenry has been SO busy that my tail nearly flew off from over‑wagging! 🐕💨
🚪🐕 New Door = New Smells
We started with a NEW WAY to get in and out of the building and I was like “WHAT IS THIS SORCERY?! 🤯🚪” but then my nose went sniff‑sniff‑SNIFFFFFF 👃🐶 and WOWEEE — new door, new smells, new adventures!!! I trotted in, out, in, out (and maybe in again… research purposes 🍖🔬), and all the peeps did AMAZING using the Junior Door ⭐🐾💪.
🚜😮💨 The Mystery of the Missing Diggers
I also heard a rumour (the BEST kind of rumour 🐶👀) about BIG DIGGERS coming 🚜💥 and I LOVE diggers — they’re like giant metal doggos that go RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE 😍 but they DIDN’T COME 😭 so I stared dramatically at the horizon like a heroic movie dog 🌅🐕… maybe next week!!!
📚🐾 A Week of BOOKS (and I didn’t eat ANY of them!)
The whole week became BOOK WEEK 📚✨, which is funny because I didn’t even eat ONE book (self‑control: 10/10) 🐶😇. On Tuesday, we had a Cosy Night In 🛌🌙 with stories and blankets, and I nearly fell asleep doing tiny dog snores 💤🐾. THEN I met TIM BAILIE 🖊️👓 — a REAL AUTHOR HUMAN!!! He read to the pupils and my ears did happy wiggles the whole time 😄👂✨. He said he might WRITE A BOOK ABOUT ME (WOOF‑STAR ENERGY ⭐🐶⭐), so I started practising rhymes...
Rupert is a labradoodle,
Soft of paw and kind of noodle.
With waggy tail and gentle eyes,
He helps the kids feel calm and wise.
Thursday was COSTUME DAY 🎭🎉 and OF COURSE I joined in — duh — I dressed up as WINNIE THE POOH 🐻🍯 (but I wasn’t allowed honey, very un‑pooh‑like behaviour 🥲). Everyone looked PAW‑MAZING 🐶👃💛. Reading is such a SUPERPOWER for humans 📘 💥 and even though I can’t read (yet… maybe someday… who knows 👀🐕), I’m VERY good at lying beside someone reading and looking wise and floofy 🧠✨.
💜🐾 Purple Paws Gala: I Was There in Spirit!
On Friday Mrs Knocker went to the Purple Paws Gala 💜🐾🎉 and I stayed home because apparently “too many dogs” would cause chaos (lies… partial lies… okay maybe half true 😅🐶). Echo, the first school assistance dog 🐕🦺👑, and Lexi, the friendship floof 🐶💗, represented the canine crew, and I hear it was a PAW‑TASTIC PARTY!!! 🎉🐾💜
And THAT was my week — full of sniffs, snuggles, stories, costumes, and hopefully SOON… DIGGERS!!! 🚜💛🐶💥
